THE KEYNOTE.

Please welcome Jannick Malling & Sara Rywe to the stage as they tackle a popular topic on our mind: Going to Series A, and Beyond - How do founders scale to Series A, and beyond? What learnings do you have to share about the jump, especially that first one? What's the difference in investor expectations and ways of working? As founders' roles switch from founders and small teams, to C-Suite management roles and large teams, what should you expect? Anything else to expect from the move from startup to company?

Jannick Malling is a successful entrepreneur and the co-founder of Public.com, a social investing platform that aims to make financial markets more accessible to everyone. Previously, he co-founded and sold Tradable, a financial technology company, for $120 million. At Public.com, Malling has raised over $300 million in funding, focusing on building a community-centric investing experience. His leadership and innovative approach have made him a prominent figure in the fintech industry, driving forward the mission of democratizing access to financial markets.

Sara Rywe is the moderator of this fireside chat and a partner at byFounders, based in the Stockholm office.

COLLECTIVE SESSIONS

13:30 - 15:30, we will be hosting four Collective Sessions: expert-led roundtables to collaborate and discuss the most frequently repeated topic requested by our founders. Each session is 45 minutes, so you’ll get the opportunity to attend two.

Looking at this list of excellent speakers and topics, and wishing you could clone yourself so you could attend all of them? Sadly, we haven’t found a human cloning company to invest in (yet), but we have created a page in the Information Hub so we can collaborate, exchange learnings, and build a ‘textbook’ of knowledge! Link will drop into your inbox.

SESSION THREE:

“Realities of Exits: Knowing When and How to Exit Your Company” with Tony Bertramelli and Fertram Sigurjonsson

SESSION FOUR:

“Expanding to the US: Strategic considerations, Timing and Practicalities of expanding into the US” with Palle Broe and Emil Dyrvig

SESSION ONE:

“Culture and Employee Engagement in Startups: Motivating Teams, Providing Feedback, and Navigating Tough Times” with Mac Reddin, Mikkel Hippe & Pernille Brun

SESSION TWO:

“Navigating Co-Founder Relationships and Team Dynamics: Founder Conflicts, Power Trips, and Breakups” with Eric Lagier and Anja Leissner.

overview.

It is our absolute pleasure to invite you to our flagship event in which we gather 100+ of the most stellar founders and operators from the New Nordics (and beyond) from our Fund I + II portfolios, the renowned byFounders Collective, and respected LPs.

Prepare yourself for a day filled with curated networking and learning opportunities. Dive deep into discussions that both challenge and provide opportunities.

The 2024 Summit is built around the theme of showcasing our community through art.

We invite you to experience your community from a new perspective. An opportunity to look beyond the daily challenges and excitements of building a company, to zoom out and appreciate the ambition and vision of our incredibly talented founders and operators.

Enjoy an immersive exhibition that celebrates our vibrant community, and end the evening on the dance floor.

This is the one event this year you don't want to miss.

practicalities.

Time and date. The Summit will be held on Friday the 23rd of August from 10:00 - 23:30 at Skabelonloftet in Copenhagen: Refshalevej 167F, 1432 København

Transportation. You have a couple of transportation alternatives. The 2A bus toward Refshaleøen stops an eight minute walk from the venue.

Copenhagen also offers a range of high-quality taxi services available 24/7. We recommend downloading Viggo, a fully electric taxi company operating exclusively with zero-emission cars. You will get 5% discount on your ride.

Accommodation. We definitely recommend booking Bob W. Use the discount code for 20% off (BOBWXBYFOUNDERS).

Questions. Reach out to Caroline or +45 31 76 78 08 (WhatsApp/phone).

*Note that, due to road works, the 2A bus does not run its usual route at the moment. If you are jumping on at Gammel Strand, or earlier, you can simply stay on the bus until the end, but you’ll not be able to jump on from Christianshavn anymore (M1+2). Please account for extra time for your journey.

WHAT DID YOU MISS Last Time?

We can’t wait to see you this year!

OUR AMAZING community partners.

Without them, the Summit would simply not be possible.
